A $20 million lawsuit has been filed against Snoop Dogg, Game, Kurupt, Daz Dillinger and Soopafly by a fan who claims to have been beaten on stage during a performance last year. |
Richard Monroe II, 25, of Kent, Washington claims to have been beaten by Snoops bodyguards after attempting to put his arms around Snoop in a friendly manner on stage. Monroe joined Snoop on stage during the rappers performance of “Gin and Juice,” at the White River Amphitheatre last May 28. Monroe was beaten for 35 seconds although there was an alleged open invitation to join Snoop on stage. |
Monroe claims to have been grabbed, pushed, stomped, and robbed of his wallet, cell phone and rings by the rapper and his bodyguards. He suffered bruised ribs, black eyes, a broken nose and a busted lip from the alleged assault. |
According to Meredith O’Sullivan, Snoop’s spokeswoman, “Any person who jumps onstage at a concert has to be interpreted as a security threat and an immediate risk. … Once breach of security has been made, authorities are forced to take the proper measures.” |
