Rapper and actor Snoop Dogg is currently working on his new album, Blue Carpet Treatment, which hits stores on October 18th. The rapper explained, “I hate losing. I’m a sore loser. That’s why when the West Coast was losing, I had to come step the game up so we could get back in the game. We just want to get noticed one more time and then once you notice us and start to hear us, then you’ll start to feel us.” |
Blue Carpet Treatment will feature guest appearances by Warren G, R. Kelly, Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, Will.I.Am, James Ingram, Ne-Yo, Jermaine Dupri, Janet Jackson, Akon, and Stevie Wonder. |
“I got Tha Dogg Pound album, just came out today, Cali Iz Active. I’m also working with the Western Union, Supafly, Bad Luck, and Damani. And I got a new group called the War Zone which is Kam, Goldie Loc, and Mc Eight. we just trying to put the west coast back on the map.” |

On the legal front, Snoop Dogg recently filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court to try to get out of his recording contract with EMI-Blackwood. Tthe rapper owes the label two more albums after signing a four-album deal in the ’90s. Snoop released two albums under the deal, 1998’s The Game Is To Be Sold Not To Be Told and 1999’s Topp Dogg, both of which came out while he was affiliated with Master P’s No Limit Records. |
The Blue Carpet Treatment will be released through the rapper’s deal with Geffen Records. |
