SLIPKNOT ANNOUNCES 2009 TOUR, PROMISES NEW SHOW
Slipknot has just announced 2009 tour dates with tix go on sale next week, Chris Fehn said they’ll change it up from this summer’s Mayhem Festival set |
Slipknot has announced a new run of tour dates for 2009. It will be their first official headline tour for their new effort All Hope Is Gone. Spending 2008 on the Mayhem Festival for the summer and overseas for the fall Corey Taylor and crew kick off the North America January 23 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Trivium and Coheed And Cambria will open. |
Percussionist Chris told us that fans who came to see Mayhem shouldn’t feel like they’ve seen the band on this tour cycle. |
“We’re constantly working on the staging part. Everybody comes up with ideas daily, like, ‘Let’s add this, let’s change this, let’s do that. So that’s another great thing, man. It’s not like a cookie cutter product. Here’s the band (sounds of a cookie cutter), here’s the stage (cookie cutter sound), this is what you’re going to do, don’t deviate. Not us man. If something sucks we yank it, and if something’s great we put it in.” |
Internet pre-sales start December 5 and the general on-sale date for the tour is December 6. Slipknot’s new single off the album is “Dead Memories.” The All Hope Is Gone tour will wrap up March 11 in Sacramento, California.rn |
