Megadeth and Rob Zombie have announced details on their co-headline tour, details here! |
Slayer, who are currently in the studio working on material for their upcoming new album, are also getting ready to announce a big Co-Headling Tour for the Summer of 2009. The tour will be a major North American Tour and all the details will be revealed on January 26th. |
Artisan News caught up with guitarist Kerry King to find out if he can give us any details prior to Slayer’s big announcement. |
“Well there’s a big tour announcement January 26th. I don’t know why, I would have announced it before N.A.M.M. But I’ve been telling a lot of kids about it, so I don’t know if I can say but there’s a big tour announcement Januarty 26th. I know I can say that. It’s going to be a lot like the last tour. Enough said. Everybody will get that.” |
Although King didn’t reveal too much, it’s possible the Summer tour will include both Mastodon and Trivium who have both been tour support for Slayer in 2008. Slayer have already recorded three new songs back in October of 2008 including a track called “Psychopathy Red” which has already been posted on the internet. Their upcoming album will be the follow up to to 2006’s “Christ Illusion” which was Slayer’s highest U.S. chart debut yet, landing at #5 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Check the bands website for more details about their 2009 Summer Tour beginning January 26th. |
