SIMPLE PLAN ON LAST TOUR LEG, RECALLS NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE
Simple Plan has set up another leg of U.S. tour dates in what is most probably the last in support of Still Not Getting Any…, their latest album. The band has had a good run with the songs “Shut Up!,” “Welcome To My Life,” and “Untitled.” |
The band will start the latest round of U.S. dates October 22 in San Diego. Simple Plan has done a lot of touring and David Desrosiers and Pierre Bouvier talk about their near death experience on the tour bus. |
[David] “I think one of the craziest would definitely be when our bus driver fell asleep at the wheel in the windy city.” It was windy.” [Pierre] “Yeah it was windy. Out in Chicago. Yeah he fell asleep and went off the road, but fortunately we stayed on four wheels, fortunately, but everything fell out of the bunks including us.” [David] “It was really close to flip. It was not steep enough, but it was kind of steep and we just went into the ditch.” [Pierre] It was pretty crazy.” [David] “Yeah it was crazy.” [Pierre] “You heard the screams coming out of that guy, a big guy, probably about 250 pounds maybe 200, scream like a girl, ‘aaahhhhh!'” |
Simple Plan is touring in support of its latest release, Hard Rock Live, which hits stores October 4. Those who are tech savvy can get the collection starting today (September 27) at iTunes and those who do will get two extra tracks. |
