SIMPLE PLAN MAKING NICE WITH EUROPE

Simple Plan is making a bold statement by going overseas for an extensive tour, which is something a lot of bands from the west have shied away from considering the political climate. It does help that the Simple Plan is from Canada and not the U.S.

The band has reached a point where their preferred mode of travel is plane, but the guys admit that it’s a little treacherous and not for the faint of heart. Bassist David Desrosiers and singer Pierre Bouvier talk about traveling by private plane.

[Desrosiers] “We fly a lot. We’ve had a couple of private jet. If you don’t like flying you won’t like these. I think it’s kind of cool because I like rollercoasters and stuff like that. You can see out front, and when you land you can totally see that you’re not landing straight. In a big plane, you can’t realize it. Other than that, A couple of turbulences… rough landings. In some territories you can tell they cannot land the plane really good.” [Bouvier] “I hate landings. I’m always kind of tense about them. It’s not very precise. It’s kind of like, I meean when you’re on the plane it’s like you’re landing on one wheel.”
