Lox member Sheek Louch is currently promoting his latest solo effort, After Taxes, which features guest appearances by Diddy, Cam’ron, Lil’ Scrappy, Ghostface, Raekwon, and Redman. The rapper has decided to switch things up and recently he released a hip-hop ballad of sorts “One Name” featuring Carl Thomas. |
Sheek has the luxury of picking his own singles because he’s signed to the Lox’s own independent label, D-Block Records. The rapper shared his thoughts on some of the other rappers in the game who may have sold more records but do not enjoy any freedom. He said, |
“Yeah you do got artists right now that got no freedom, can’t do nothing, you know what I’m sayin’? They selling mad records but they don’t know this game. You got some young boys, you got cats that just call their manager and ask their manager to do stuff. Right now with us it’s so different, I can’t call my manager. I got to go and find out where is this product at, why is this not playing over here, what’s the spins over here, you know what I’m sayin’?” |
