Shawnee Smith returns to Saw III as Amanda, the puppet master who carries out Jigsaw’s evil-minded games. Shawnee says she and Tobin Bell worked well before shooting began in Malibu to develop the relationship between their characters.

Shawnee says some of the graphic scenes in Saw III are better left to the imagination, but the audience will not go away unsatisfied.

“The relationship between Jigsaw and Amanda it’s deep. Hopefully Tobin and I spent a lot of time in L.A. before coming here filling that in. From our point of view the whole movie hinged on buying that as a viewer, the audience buying that relationship.”

Those tasty scenes are for mature audiences only. Shawnee can’t even bare to watch the films let alone let her seven year-old daughter Verve anywhere near the film until she turns 18. Saw III opens Friday in theaters.rn
