SENSES FAIL DEBUTS AT NUMBER 15, TO FOLLOW IN MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE’S FOOTSTEPS

Senses Fail’s new album, Still Searching, will debut at Number 15 on the Billboard chart according to the Hits album sales chart. The band has become an underground sensation, achieving sales and live show success without traditional airplay. |
Senses Fail vocalist James “Buddy” Nielsen talked about the new effort. |
“It’s really good. I’ll tell you that right now. It’s a lot heavier a lot more…It’s got a lot more to it. It’s got more layers I’d say.” |
In an interview conducted a few months back at the Warped Tour, Neilsen talked about being part of the new indie uprising spearheaded by My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy. |
“My Chem[ical Romance] is a band that’s gotten really big recently that really represents the underground music scene or what was of the underground music scene, I guess, independently. You know Fall Out Boy too. Fall Out Boy came up with our band, but people don’t really view them as a band like that. I’m not really sure why they don’t. I guess becuase it’s so pop oriented, they just assume that they’re not, that they didn’t used to be in hardcore bands, but they did. And they used to play basement shows and work their asses off to get where they are. There’s a lot of bands that work really hard to get where they are, but mainstream music isn’t really about working hard. It’s about signing a deal and looking pretty, which a lot of other bands do, but bands who come out of this scene are just not going to be huge right away.” |
Senses Fail are currently on the International Taste Of Chaos tour, but they will be back to start a tour to kick off November 24 in Boston, Massachusetts. |
