SECONDHAND SERENADE WINTER SPRING SUMMER FALL FOR YOU
Secondhand Serenade’s Fall For You is finally top 10 at Contemporary Hit Radio, and John Veseley says it took almost a year to get there. |
Secondhand Serenade has slowly climbed the Top 40 radio charts with the song, “Fall For You,” and it resides at Number 7. The band is really one man, John Vesely (Veh-suh-lee), and he built up his status as an independent artist with his album Awake. Secondhand Serenade’s most recent album, A Twist In My Story, spawned the hit single “Fall For You,” and it is only now reaching its peak after the tune being released way back in January. |
We asked Vesely about the song’s steady upward climb. |
“It’s been like nine months or ten months or something that the single has been building. That’s really long for a single to build, right?, and it’s still climbing. So we’ll see how high it gets, and how well it does. I can only pray that the next single has the same work ethic that this single had. It’s worked so hard and somehow gotten to this point.” |
So what was the inspiration for the tune? |
“Well, I was in a relationship that was kind of deteriorating, and it was a really tough time in my life and eventually got to a breaking point where I could kind of stand outside of it and really realize all the things I was taking for granted of out of that relationship. That’s kind of where the song rooted from.” |
