SCOTT WEILAND GOING COUNTRY?
Yesterday, January 28, Motley Crue called it quits as far as touring, but they had a lot to say about what’s coming up while Tommy and Mick talked with us ab… |
Scott Weiland recently made a surprise appearance at the Second Fiddle club in Nashville earlier this month. His appearance was in support of budding country star Tommy Joe Wilson. Weiland joined him on stage for a rendition of Marshall Tucker Band’s “Heard It In A Love Song” to the delight of the crowd. |
Wilson is signed to Weiland’s record label, and in a recent interview Weiland said that he’s no stranger to country music. |
“Country was the first genre of music that I fell in love with. My father was a huge country music fan, and he was really the first person that taught me how to sing. So there’s definitely a portion of that (my vocal influence) that is definitely country.” |
Tommy Joe Wilson’s debut album for Softdrive Records is slated to be released next year, and those curious can check out his Myspace page. Meanwhile, Weiland is on tour with his band Velvet Revolver through October 26 in Irvine, California. |
