SCOTT PATTERSON RESPECTS THE FBI

Gilmore Girls star Scott Patterson leaves behind the diner he ran for seven years on the small screen to play an FBI agent in Saw IV hot on the trail of John Kramer slash Jigsaw when murders are still occurring even after he’s died. |
Scott took his movie job seriously as he went through rigorous training with the real secret service. |
“I went down to the FBI in Los Angeles. I got together with a special agent who led the field office in L.A. and he took me through weapons training. He took me through psychological profiling. I met with their top profiler. Fascinating guys, fascinating work that they do. And I did pretty well on the weapons training. I am actually an FBI weapons approved so better be nice to me.” |
Scott was so impressed with what he learned about the FBI that he thinks the average person should take a crack at what they do to appreciate them as well. |
“But it’s amazing the kind of situations they put you in and how you have to react in the moment and maybe the first time through you’re shooting your own agents in the back of the head. You’re killing innocent victims so it’s just really, really difficult what they have to go through so I think a lot of people should go through that and then they wouldn’t judge these guys so much. They wouldn’t judge cops so much. They wouldn’t judge people who are on the front lines. It’s daunting.” |
Joining Scott in his investigation is Saw alumnus Lyriq Bent as Rigg. Scott hasn’t abandoned television completely. He’s currently starring in Aliens In America on the CW network. |
