SCORSESE IN THE MOMENT WITH THE STONES
Martin Scorsese made Shine A Light with the sole purpose of capturing the moment with The Rolling Stones. |
Martin Scorsese took the approach of making a film encapsulated around the Rolling Stones two-night engagement at New York City’s Beacon Theater. The film, Shine A Light, is aptly named, illuminating things that concert goers may have missed for years. |
Scorsese was excited about the concept of the film in which the set-lists were made up at the last minute. |
The award winning director said that you could make films about each night of the tour, but Shine A Light was based around what was going on behind the scenes and on the stage those two nights. |
Shine A Light features a full concert performance by The Rolling Stones with special guests Buddy Guy, Jack White of the White Stripes and the Raconteurs, and pop siren Christina Aguilera. It hit theaters Friday, April 4.rn |
