SCARFACE TO DESIGN CUSTOM FITTED HAT

Scarface is the latest rapper tapped by New Era to design his own custom fitted cap. The rapper will meet with the company’s design team this Saturday (January 14th) to hammer out the design of his fitted cap. Some of the other rappers who have designed their own fitted caps include: Fabolous, Cam’ron, DJ Green Lantern, Dizzee Rascal, The Game and Fat Joe.

Scarface is currently working on a new album but what many rap fans may not be aware of is that the rapper is also a talented producer in his own right. He explained how he drew his inspiration from Dr. Dre and Marley Marl. The rapper said,

“I’ve been doing music all my life man. I can damn near play everything you can name, long enough to sample it or get a real musician to come in and do it. But I did my entire first album by myself. The ‘Mr. Scarface Is Back,’ I did that entire record by myself, you know, besides a couple of songs I didn’t do ‘Born Killer.’ I didn’t do ‘I’m Dead’ and I didn’t do ‘Diary Of A Man,’ yes I did. I did all the rest of them. Everything else on there, I did. That was my Dr. Dre meets Marley Marl days. You know I thought I was both of them.”
