SAW IV ACTORS SAW THROUGH TENSION WITH LAUGHS

Saw IV actors reveal funny moments during their horrific scenes.

Saw IV fans will no doubt be pleased with horrific images of guts and gore, but for the actors who are playing out the torture scenes, a little levity is often required.

Gilmore Girls star Scott Patterson who joins the franchise as an FBI agent investigating Jigsaw recalls the humorous outtakes that the audience will never see involving a very serious scene with Tobin Bell.

“But I have to come up to a slab; he’s laying on a slab and I come in with weapon drawn and he cups me from underneath the sheet. This is a very serious moment fraught with tension and suspense and there’s just blood everywhere and I am looking around this room just horrified and he just goes, ‘bam’ right in the nuts. It was a high pitched moment. Yes I could imagine.”

Lyriq Bent who joined the franchise at Saw II returns as Rigg and this time it’s very serious business until…

“I’m going through a hallway and I’m looking for clues with gun drawn I’m walking down the hallway and to my right I hear a fart machine going off. I thought, ‘I’m staying in my moment.’ It wasn’t a machine; it was one of these guys. I hear it again so I look over just to acknowledge because I’m sure there’s audio happening but I want to stay in my scene so I look over and I’m like, ‘somebody’s gonna get it when I’m done,’ and I walk over to this thing because it kept going off over and over and I picked it up trying to use it like this is a clue and try to keep it off camera and I can hear everyone giggling backstage and I was like, ‘there’s no way there gonna use this.’”
