What if you could predict the outcome of a dreadful occurrence that you sense is going to happen. Would you? That is the question behind Premonition starring Sandra Bullock as a housewife and mother of two children who has psychic dreams that her husband played by Nip/Tuck star Julian McMahon meets a tragic end.

Sandra says her character comes to a fork in the road where she is faced with the decision to turn her life around or just continue her life in the same direction.

“You have a woman who’s complacent, numb. Her husband is the same just going through the same day to day rituals. They’re not feeling anything anymore and then these events start happening. And it sort of brings up the question if you had the chance to do it not over again but if you were given a chance to make a U-turn to fix something, would you? Or would you just continue on the path and change your life? She always has to wake up, is this the day that he leaves and am I gonna make the choice to stop it and better our lives or do I let it happen so I can go on and maybe find my own happiness because right now in life I’m not happy.”

Sandra connected strongly to the notion in Premonition that death is secured by fate but her sunny nature refuses to let her life’s journey be anything but happy and joyful. Premonition opens Friday in theaters.
