R&B singer Sammie is back with his first new album in six years. The singer, who took several years off to attend high school in Orlando, Florida, will release his self-titled sophomore album on Tuesday, October 10th. The album includes the hit, “You Should Be My Girl” featuring Sean Paul of the Youngbloodz. |
The singer recently explained that it took him six months to record the new project. He said, |
“Like six months, you know what I’m sayin’? Which was to me is a long time cause my first project we did it in like that. Probably like two, three months and then I was out. But I put a lot of my heart and soul and my blood, sweat and tears in this one. Some experiences that I went through throughout high school. Also other experiences whether it be friends. I’m very observant and analytical so anything I observed inspired me to write. But it was a lot of fun, you know what I’m sayin’? But it took like six months to complete.” |
The album features the production of Jermaine Dupri, Dallas Austin, Jazze Pha, Daron Jones of 112, Adonis, and Brian Michael Cox. |
In related news, Sammie will try his hand at acting soon. He’s landed a role in the forthcoming movie, Stomp The Yard’, which will also star Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Daisy Jade, Courtney Vance, Laz Alonso, Robin Thicke, and Meagan Good. The film is slated to hit theaters next year. |
