SAIGON HITS THE ROAD WITH METHOD MAN

Rapper and actor Saigon has landed an opening slot on Method Man’s current tour. The rapper joins the Wu-Tang Clan’s Inspectah Deck and Masta Killa as the tour’s opening acts. Saigon is promoting his forthcoming album, The Greatest Story Never Told, and he recently release a new single. The rapper said,

Saigon has also started the Abandoned Nation Foundation to help abandoned children. The rapper spent his early years moving around and living with several family members before he was convicted to assualt at the age of 16. The rapper shared what he learned. He said, “You can’t be in jail and glorify being a gangster. In jail, you have the reality. You’d look stupid if you ran around with your face all screwed up, acting like a tough guy. If you’re so tough, then why are you locked in when the CO says so? Having that experience is why I always make it my business to tell people the realities of the thug life. The truth is that that life has two endings – dead or in jail. You might have a studio thug who can do it, but no real thug gets to kick his feet up on the beach. I feel, as artists, we’re irresponsible if we don’t tell people the whole truth. If you’re gonna promote violence, you can be locked up for a long time for one mistake… I know.”
