Robin, a master storyteller himself talks about why he loves to tell stories and how important they are to movie making. |

“Because it’s original drama; once man became verbal that was it. And then the first movies was somebody going (using sign language) ‘OK this is my first cut. OK the elk is running and I kill it.’ Then they handed out cards after the first screening that said, ‘I didn’t believe the elk.’ It’s the same thing that Francis Ford Coppola said at the Academy Awards a while ago when he said all this technology means nothing without great stories. And everyone thought he was stoned, which he was. But he still spoke the truth like my father who is making wine. But that’s the drill, characters and stories still drive it.” |
