Robert Randolph is set to release his highly anticipated album ‘Colorblind’ and with collaborations with Eric Clapton, Leela James, Dave Matthews, Carlos Santana and Rob Thomas, it’s no wonder Randolph is living the dream. On Robert Randolph’s first single ‘Thrill of it’ the song is inspired by his recognition that he’s truly living the dream, touring the world, playing with incredible musicians on a nightly basis and he couldn’t be more along for the ride for the thrill of it. |
‘Colorblind’ was originally set for a release date at the end of September, but has now be pushed back for release in October. We asked Randolph if he knew when the album was set for release. |
“It was the first song that we recorded for the ‘Colorblind’ album. It was the first thing that we got into and that’s were we got the whole vibe for this record. It came from who we are and where we’re from and what are we doing here today. The hook is, we’re living a dream and on this ride for the thrill of it and living a dream and that’s what life is all about. And it’s talking about how some people can be at home, you got guys at home right now playing acoustic guitar and you have all these different songs and a lot of talent, but they don’t get to live the dream and we are living the dream and we are oh so thankful, oh so thankful to be living the dream. So we’re on this ride for the thrill of it.” |
