ROB THOMAS DEFINES HAPPINESS FOR THE ROBINSONS
Rob Thomas, former vocalist and songwriter for Matchbox Twenty, has resurfaced with the song “Little Wonders” from the Meet The Robinsons movie soundtrack. |
Thomas talked about the inspiration behind “Little Wonders.” |
“The song is called ‘Little Wonders’, and I think it’s about how people tend to get caught up the moment and tend to get caught up in something that’s bringing them down, and not realizing that happiness… Happiness to me is a long… Life is just like one long line, and you find these moments of happiness if you’re lucky, these little things that come along that make you happy. Sometimes people are searching just to be happy, and that’s not really it. Because life has ups and it has downs, and so I think the song was about realizing those moments when they come along and making the best of them and understanding that that’s what life is. At the end of it, those are the things you look back on. All these little moments that made up your life, all the moments that made you smile, and all the moments that made you cry and all the moments that made you feel whole.” |
The happiness issue is something that has been a point of exploration for him. He recently completed a film titled “How I Stopped Working: Or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Enjoy The Biz, a look at how his album/promo cycle affected his happiness in the business. The film makes its way to the Nashville Film Festival starting April 19. |
