ROADRUNNER ALL-STARS HIT NYC IN DECEMBER
Roadrunner United: the All-Star Sessions was released to stores on Tuesday (October 11), and the album features an all-star cast from Ill Nino, Slipknot, Trivium, Fear Factory, Machine Head and many other metal bands on the Roadrunner Records label. |
The album commemorates 25 years that Roadrunner records have been in existence, and the band draws on all the bands that made it the Number One metal label in the U.S. The collection features various collaborations, and Slipknot Drummer Joey Jordison said that there’s no tour, but there’s an all-star show at the Nokia theater on December 15. |
“I don’t know about touring, but we’re going to do a live show in the middle of December for this whole project. It’s going to be really killer.” |
Jordison said he’s looking forward to the performance, and he said that if their Fuse performance is any indication, the show will be spectacular. |
“It’s going to be great, man. It’s like we played today on Fuse, a live version of ‘Tired ‘N Lonely’ with Keith and Matt from VOD and Acey from Murderdolls Nadja from Coal Chamber and we rehearsed it for the first time yesterday and it was just like we’ve been playing together forever. I don’t think it’s going to be an issue. I think we’re all just psyched to do it.” |
The show will feature a Roadrunner United ‘house band’ comprised of Jordison on drums, Andreas Kisser of Sepultura on guitar, Dino Cazares (ex Fear Factory, Brujeria) on rhythm guitar, and Adam Duce of Machine Head on bass. Special guests, including past and present Roadrunner artists and other metal icons will join the band onstage to play 20 classic Roadrunner tunes along with a few choice cuts from The All Star Sessions. |
