RISE AGAINST HOPING TO RECORD GET FACE TO FACE?
Rise Against talk about the possibility of getting into the studio to work with Face to Face on a new album |
Rise Against are still touring in support of their latest album 2008’s “Appeal to Reason” and the band plan to get back into the studio in early 2010 to begin working on their follow up album. But it’s quite possible those plans could get put on the back burner as Rise Against are hoping to get into the studio with Face to Face to work on a collaborative album. Face to Face became one of punk rock’s most influential bands to come out of California, along with Green Day, Bad Religion, The Offspring, NOFX, Pennywise, Lagwagon and The Vandals and it’s clear they influenced Rise Against as well. |
Artisan News caught up with Rise Against at the 15th Anniversary Warped Tour show to get their thoughts on possibly recording with Face to Face in the near future. |
“I can’t confirm or deny that. We’re huge fans of Face to Face. We love Face to Face. We cover lots of Punk bands in our sound checks too. We did meet those guys and talked about it and we hope it comes to fruition.” |
Face to Face, who recently reunited to tour together in 2008, are also planning on releasing their next album in the near future, which will be the bands first studio album since 2002’s “How to Ruin Everything.” Rise Against are gearing up with a European Tour for October and November with dates in Russia, Finland, Italy, The Czech Republic, The U.K. and Spain to name a few before returning to perform their 10th Anniversary show at The Metro in Chicago on December 18th, 2009. |
