RIHANNA IS TOO BUSY TO ENJOY SUCCESS

Rihanna debuts at Number Two but continues stronghold on singles chart…..

R&B and pop singer Rihanna released her third album, Good Girl Gone Bad, last week to rave reviews. The set just missed debuting at Number One on the Billboard 200 albums chart by less than 9,000 units. T-Pain’s Epiphany moved 161,000 copies to grab the number spot on the beat Rihanna’s first week sales totals of 162,400. Rihanna was able to get some revenge on the single’s chart. Her latest smash, “Umbrella” featuring Jay-Z, is enjoying its third week at Number One on the Billboard Hot 100 pop chart.

The singer shared that she’s so busy she doesn’t really get to enjoy her success. Rihanna said,

“Well I hardly get to enjoy it because I’m in it and it’s going so much. But I always have to take time to step back and say, ‘Wow look at how much I’ve accomplished.’ I’m really proud of what I’ve been doing so far.”

In related news, male suitors need to beware if they’re thinking of approaching the pop princess. Rihanna recently told People magazine that Jay-Z has been acting as a big brother of sorts while screening her potential dates. She said, “I just found out from a mutual friend that guys will talk to Jay first before they try to approach me. He’s very protective. Jay has my best interests in mind. If it’s a good guy I know Jay won’t shut him down. But if he’s not, Jay will be like, ‘No, no, no.'”
