REVEREND RUN HEADS BACK OUT ON THE ROAD
Reverend Run set to hit the road with Kid Rock on Rock’N Roll Revival tour. |
Reverend Run and DMC disbanded Run-DMC following the 2002 murder of group member Jam Master Jay. The rappers have since released solo projects and now Reverend Run has decided to hit the road with Kid Rock on the Rock’N Roll Revival tour. The 29-city tour will start in Evansville, Indiana on January 25th and will wrap up in Toledo, Ohio on March 22nd. |
The duo got the idea to launch the tour after Kid Rock appeared on Rev Run’s MTV reality show, Run’s House. Run explained, “We’ve become very close friends so we decided to tour together. Our first show together was closing out New Year’s, while MTV dropped the ball live. We did (Run-DMC’s 1984 hit) ‘King of Rock!’ Saturday we performed together at the GM Fashion event. The tour should be a blast! He’s a very nice guy. Very funny! And fun!” |
“The only thing that makes you happy is the creativity of it. The seeing other kids prosper. To see a Kanye West…you know us hugging each other. That’s what it’s all about.” |
In addition to Rev. Run, Kid Rock will also be joined by The Allman Brothers Band’s Dickey Betts and Peter Wolf on various dates. |
