RESIDENT EVIL STARS SURVIVE THE SUPER UNDEAD
Oded Fehr returns as Carlos Olivera to Resident Evil: Extinction as this time joining a convoy of survivors traveling together through the desert to stay alive. |
Oded talks about how much the stakes have risen since the last film in dealing with the undead. |
“We’re in the next movie now, we can’t just bring in the same old zombies that barely move and so on so we have to up the scales and these guys are scary. They’re very scary; they’re very fast. When I read this one I felt it was much stronger than Resident: The Apocalypse. There’s much more of an ensemble and I really liked the story, the idea that there’s very few people left on this earth who are still human and the hard trials of surviving through this.” |
R&B singer Ashanti most recently seen on screen in John Tucker Must Die joins the cast as Betty, a member of the convoy trying to find humans amongst the undead. |
“We’re traveling trying to get away from the undead. They have kind of taken over and we’re the victims and we’re trying to escape to Alaska because we heard that that’s where life is. We’re running low on food. We’re trying to find humans and human contact anywhere we can. There’s a lot of kids in this one that we pick up along the way so it’s definitely about survival.” |
Ashanti who’s had her share of dealing with unsavory characters in the music business felt liberated that her character gets to blow off some steam with a shot gun. |
