RESCUE ME HEATS UP FOR SEASON FOUR

Rescue Me stars celebrate season four in the heart of Times Square.

The fireman’s best friend, the Dalmatian was on hand to greet the stars of Rescue Me in the heart of Times Square in New York to celebrate the season four premiere. As the series unfolds Denis Leary as firefighter Tommy Gavin is under question for the beach house fire that nearly killed him while questioning the paternity of Janet’s newborn son as possibly belonging to his deceased brother.

Denis says season four is going to be really hot.

“A whole lotta hurt. Like that’s unusual on Rescue Me. One of the things that we’re doing that’s been a lot of fun and I think is really gonna be exciting for the audience is starting with the first episode a lot of the fires this year are done in one take with no edit so they last three or four or five minutes long. And it’s the actual actors and no stunt men as the fires occur inside the building. So I think it’s gonna put the audience on the edge of their seats. You can feel the fire and when your tank runs out just like we use real tanks, you run out of air and at a certain point your alarm goes off letting you know that you only have a couple of minutes left. And we panic and we’re just fake firefighters. So I can only imagine what it would be like if it was real.”

Daniel Sunjata, the firehouse playboy Franco is finally dealing with commitment or is he?

“More Susan Sarandon which is always a positive thing. You know who would not be honored to act with someone of her level of accomplishment. Franco is definitely growing up. He’s doing some growing up that’s for sure. There are more than a few harrowing situations that the crew ends up in while we’re on the job, I’ll say that. Nobody should get too attached to any of the characters necessarily.”

Other storylines feature probie Mike caring for his ailing mother, Sean coping with newlywed Maggie’s love of porn and the new Chief played by co-creator Peter Tolan just trying to fit in. Season four of Rescue Me premieres June 13 at 10PM on FX.
