RENEE ZELWEGGER SHARES MISS POTTER SWAG

Renee Zelwegger stars in Miss Potter, a period piece from the early 1900s, and she talks about what she literally took away from the set.

Renee Zelwegger stars as Beatrix Potter, the woman who created the Peter Rabbit series of children’s books. The tale is not only about her success but crossing class barriers to find love.

Many of the items on the set are either genuine or have been replicated so close that most cannot tell the difference. Zelwegger was asked if she managed to get some swag from the set.

“Ah, yes. I stole a first edition copy of…. No. No, I took my costumes I guess. Not so much. Little bits and pieces from the lake district, gifts from the people who lived locally in the areas and things like that.”

“Pieces of art from the area. They’re famous for their different foods and confectionaries and things and they bring those by. Some Grassmmir Gingerbread. Whew! That’s some good stuff!”

Miss Potter also stars Ewan McGreggor and Emily Watson. The film has limited release this weekend, but it will be released nationwide next month.
