REMY MA FACING ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGES

Remy Ma charged with shooting friend over $2,000…..

Former Terror Squad member Remy Ma is free after posting $250,000 bail. The rapper allegedly got into an altercation with a female friend, Makeda Barnes-Joseph, after leaving New York’s Pizza bar early Saturday morning (July 14th). The beef turned violent after the rapper accused Barnes-Joseph of stealing $2,000 from her purse because she was the last person to hold the rapper’s purse in the nightclub. Ma allegedly shot the victim twice in the midsection then jumped into a Cadillac Escalade which crashed three blocks from the scene.

The SUV was registered to Ma, who turned herself in to authorities on Saturday night. The rapper was charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon. The victim is currently listed in stable condition.

“It is actually hard being a female, being young, and being black in this industry. Like that’s super strikes against just before I even open my mouth and say one verse, one bar. So I just, me, I felt I overcame it by just being me and going with my best judgement.”

The rapper’s lawyer, Scott Leemon, said, “I ask everyone to keep an open mind. Things are not always as they seem.”

In the past Ma shared that’s it difficult to maintain in the entertainment industry. The 26 year-old rapper said,
