RED CAFE DROPS PAPER TOUCHIN
Red Cafe’s new single is poised for a run up the charts. |
Brooklyn-based rapper Red Cafe has had several false starst but it appears he finally has his first official hit on his hands. Cafe recently released “Paper Touchin’,” which borrows its melody from the 1985 classic, “Krush Groovin'” featuring Run-DMC, Kurtis Blow, the Fat Boys, and Sheila E, from the Krush Groove soundtrack. |
Cafe plans to release his official debut, The Shakedown, later this year through Akon’s Knovict Records. The album will feature guest appearances by Akon, Mack 10, Tyrese, Remy Ma, Fabolous and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony with production by Nottz, K1, Pete Rock, Zukhan, Big Dev, J Cardim, Moss, Green Lantern and the Trackmasters. |
“The Shakedown for me, I did a few, a little stretch behind the wall. It was something that we went through all the time. You know it was called a shakedown when the C.O.s came, they ran in your cell. Shook down the cell to really see if they could find any contraband, you know what I’m sayin’? And whatever, they taking it from you or whatever like that. So like for me Shakedown, that’s the name of my company and the name of the album because we fittin’ to shake the game down. We about to take whatever the game got to offer, you know what I’m sayin’? It’s a shakedown, be a part of it.” |
Cafe explained why he decided to title the album The Shakedown. The rapper said, |
