RAY LIOTTA IS A LAWYER AND A LOVER
Ray Liotta stars in Slow Burn as an ex street cop, now a district attorney running for mayor who falls for his assistant district attorney. When she makes a bomb shell confession to him everything he thought he had under control becomes unraveled. |
Ray did his homework for the role by watching court cases in action and became hooked on legal shows. |
“So I’m playing a district attorney so I went down to the L.A. courthouse and I watched cases and talked to D.A.s and lawyers. Then I became fascinated because there were just like really interesting cases going on and just to see the whole procedure. Now my new favorite show is Court TV. When I’m in the trailer getting ready I watch Court TV. It’s such a fascinating world what people do to each other and how lawyers plan their strategy. It’s just pretty interesting.” |
Newcomer Jolene Blalock plays his assistant district attorney girlfriend who inspired Liotta to burn off his love handles. |
“I didn’t have to gain weight. I could train and work out and take care of myself in a good way. That’s probably what really made me I said, ‘I gotta take my shirt off on this, I really gotta lose weight.’ I’ll tell ya that’s the best way to lose, the best diet that you have to take your shirt off in a movie. We get a little spirited at times which is nice. It’s one of the first movies I’ve done in a while where I didn’t have to choke the girl to get her to kiss me.” |
Slow Burn opens Friday in theaters. |
