Being a successful comedian doesn’t always guarantee you’ll be telling jokes in the finest establishments which the funny men on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour came to find out. Comedian Bill Engvall who toured throughout the country with Jeff Foxworthy, Larry The Cable Guy and Ron White recalls an unpleasant off-stage encounter.

“I think probably my favorite moment was off stage. We were in Boston and we were in this theater and it was a really old theater and you had to walk down the steps and then out through the basement to get out. I had gone down while the show was going on. I had finished my set. I was walking and this big rat ran across the hallway. So I came upstairs and I said I saw a big rat in the hallway and Jeff says, ‘Not a rat, God I hate rats.’ So after the show we were all filing down this skinny little hallway and there were two guys in front of me and then me and the guy behind me and Jeff. I waited until we got right in the middle of the hallway and I screamed as loud as I could, ‘it’s a rat, it’s a rat!’ I thought there was a nine year old girl behind me because Foxworthy was screaming. His Doctor Pepper was going everywhere. I nearly wet myself I was laughing so hard. Moments like that the audience never saw.”
