Kanye West ruined Taylor Swift’s night at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night during her acceptance speech. |
The Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival will take place this weekend at the Tobacco Warehouse in the Dumbo section of Brooklyn. Saturday’s (6/23) concert will feature performances by Ghostface Killah, Emily King, Tanya Morgan, Consequence, Skillz, Dres, Poison Pen, and others. Radio personality and video director Ralph McDaniels will host the event which will surely feature several surprise performances. |
Rapper Dres explained why he was so excited about performing in Brooklyn. He said, |
“Well I’m very excited to be a part of the Brooklyn Hip Hop Fest this year. To say that I was trying to do it last year but my calendar didn’t permit me. To say that it’s something that I think is real important as far as us taking it to the inner city. Especially New York being where I’m from, us taking it to home and letting cats know that there’s tradition here. You know what I’m sayin’ and there’s heritage here.” |
