RAINN WILSON WITNESSES OTHER WORLDLY EXPERIENCE

The Office star Rainn Wilson makes his feature film debut in The Last Mimzy as a bohemian teacher who witnesses strange goings-on when his student shows him the mystical powers of a toy he found washed up on the beach.

Rainn shares his own personal other worldly experience that changed him forever.

“I guess I’d say in all seriousness the birth of my son. The doctors handed him to me and it was very traumatic birth experience. I was holding him in the hallway of the hospital and it’s like looking in his eyes and seeing that fresh soul you know. Time really stands still when you’re in a situation like that. So that was pretty other worldly.”

Unfortunately there were no strange happenings on the set that Rainn witnessed while shooting the film.

“No I’d love to say that people were levitating and the sets were exploding and people from the future were being beamed down but we were just up in Vancouver B.C. in a sound stage shootin’ a movie. In front of a green screen making a lot of big faces like..like that.”

Next Rainn is shooting the independent film Laws of Motion with Hilary Swank. He’s also shopping a short film he directed The New Bozena based on a sketch comedy clown group which he describes as Pee Wee Herman on acid.
