RACHEL WEISZ FALLS FOR THE FOUNTAIN
Do you think it’s possible to love someone from a lifetime before or a lifetime from now? Those are the questions The Fountain explores starring Rachel Weisz spanning thousands of years of love with Hugh Jackman. The script written and directed by Darren Aronofsky her fiancé and father of their newborn son really blew her mind. |
Rachel portrays a terminally ill woman in the film who deals with the knowledge of her death with grace. She says the film will inspire conversation after the lights come up. |
“When I read the script I really didn’t know what all the visuals were gonna look like so I loved the story, I loved the romance and I loved that part of it. When I saw the movie for the first time and saw all these incredible visual effects yeah my mind was blown. My mind was blown.” |
Next Rachel is filming My Blueberry Nights with Norah Jones, Jude Law and Natalie Portman. Rachel shot her scenes in Memphis and got to visit her favorite part of Graceland, Elvis’ leopard skin bed. The Fountain opens tomorrow in theaters. |
“I think that’s the great thing about it that it’s very emotional. It’s very romantic and it hits you in the heart. But then when you leave people come out and they’re debating in really what hot debate? Well what was it about? Well I think it meant this. No it meant this and everyone is interpreting it very, very differently. It’s incredibly personal.” |
