QUEEN HITS MOVIE THEATERS IN U.K.
300 Rise of An Empire hits theaters this weekend, and it features a very different tale of Greece and Persia as Xerxes and Artemesia, played by Rodrigo Santo… |
Queen is currently off the road, but fans in the U.K. won’t have to be without their Queen for too long. Coinciding with their Number One position on the DVD charts with Return Of The Champions, the band is making a special screen edit of the concert available to select theaters in the U.K. |
The concert is an 18 camera shoot and is directed by award winner David Mallet. The showings start Monday, November 14. In separate interviews drummer Roger Taylor, guitarist Brian May, and vocalist Paul Rodgers all talk about the motives for doing the performances and how far it will go into the future. |
[Taylor] “I think it really is fulfillment really, but it is fun and it is our profession. It’s what we do, and that’s what we’re good at. And there’s a lot of satisfaction in that.” [May] It’s hard to know where to stop, I have to say. Once this ball is rolling, if it’s going well, we’re going to want to go on with it.” [Rodgers] “The audiences throughout this entire tour have been acutally phenomenal, and I don’t use that word lightly. They really have been incredible. It’s been such an outpouring of love. I think they’re glad to see Queen up and firing on all four cylanders again, welll how ever many cylanders we’ve got. (laughs).” |
