PUBLIC ENEMY DANCE REMIXES IN THE WORKS
Public Enemy classics will be remixed by dance/electronica music experts….. |
Public Enemy’s classics will be remixed for a special electronica/dance remix project and released via Patrick Moxey’s Ultra Records. Public Enemy’s Chuck D said, “I am pleased to acknowledge that Public Enemy’s words and music are both considered classic and timeless; here it’s split in half so the lyrics and rhythms can move the dance floor with new sounds from the sonic wizards of today. This is an appropriate and exciting project, since Public Enemy evolved from the same elements of DJ diversity that helped formulate dance and electronica in the first place.” |
No release date or title has been announced for the new project which will be remixed by Don Diablo, Ferry Corsten and Benny Benassi. |
“Well if hip hop is gonna be ninety percent talking about death that’s at the end of the streets and you know is just gonna treat it with a dead attitude of you know what ni**a I’ll kill you. You know what I’ll hurt you, I’ll kill you. If that’s the vibe and that’s the theme, death is the theme then hip hop is dead. It doesn’t mean hip hop will stop. It means it will keep moving like ‘The Night of the Living Dead.’ It will be zombies, zombied out cause you know it doesn’t have an area of growth. You can’t grow anything that ain’t living. So you know hip hop can be dead and it can still go. Whether it’s going forward is still debatable.” |
