PRIMEVAL INVESTIGATES EVIL IN AFRICA

Prison Break star Dominic Purcell is an investigative reporter hot on the trail of a serial killer in Africa.

Prison Break star Dominic Purcell stars in Primevil as an Anderson Cooper type news producer sent on assignment to South Africa to investigate a serial killer. Dominic says the story needed to be told because the most notorious serial killer in history is still alive in Africa and it’s not human.

He talks about shooting on location where the buffalo still roam.

“We shot in Cape Town. I love Cape Town. It’s a coastal kind of place; a small town but still very vibrant and has a lot of energy about it. We’ve been shooting everywhere. Speenkop is a national reserve. It’s kind of cool when you drive to work and you see giraffes and buffalo and rhinos and that kind of stuff.”

Director Michael Katleman makes his feature film debut having directed television series such as Smallville and Reunion. He says the cast and crew bonded because of the challenges of shooting in Africa.

“We have been in the elements on this film being here in Africa, being around the animals, going where it’s freezing cold or having to pretend it’s warm with the rain blasting down on them. It really has been quite extreme conditions and it’s made them become quite close and it’s made it really real for them.”

Comedian Orlando Jones makes his scary movie debut as Purcell’s news partner in Primevil opening tomorrow in theaters.
