PLUS 44 MAKES HEARTS START BEATING AT NYC IN-STORE
Former Blink 182 members Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker returned to New York for an in-store with +44, and the band is grateful for the support. |
Former Blink 182 members Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker were in New York City November 16 to greet fans at an in-store in support of their new band, Plus 44. The group features guitarists Craig Fairbaugh and Shane Gallagher. The new effort is titled When Your Heart Stops Beating, and fans who attended their in-store exhibited quite the opposite physiological reaction. |
We asked Hoppus what it was like to be greeted at the Times Square Virgin Megastore by screaming and singing fans. |
“Oh, we’re humbled by the whole thing. It’s amazing the amount of energy people have in anticipation of the record coming out and the support from people that not only supported us in Blink and our other bands, but also people that are hearing the songs for the first time and maybe didn’t even like Blink 182 and are starting to like this album. So we’re really excited about it and the people that were coming out to the shows before the record was even out. And the support from people and like I said the excitement about the album was really cool. We’re stoked.” |
He was also asked about the best part of doing in-store appearances. |
“Just getting to meet the people that support us and say thanks and that’s it. Just saying thank you to people that come out to the shows and buy our records and allow us to do what we do.” |
Plus 44 is currently touring North America playing mostly headline shows. They’ve been booked for the KROQ Acoustic Christmas in Los Angeles, set for December 7, and the tour ends December 17 in Orangevale, California. |
