PLUS 44 DEBUT AT NUMBER 9

Plus 44, comprised of two-thirds of Blink 182, finds itself at Number 9 in the Billboard 200 with the debut of their new effort, When Your Heart Stops Beating. The title track from the album is currently racing up the Modern Rock charts.

The album features the return of Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker and the duo talked about the biggest obstacle in getting When Your Heart Stops Beating done.

“We definitely took the time to do it in our own time and try a bunch of different things out. We really had that luxury because we just kind of went under the radar and locked ourselves in a studio and recorded everything. We pretty much paid for everything ourselves and just had a great time doing it. I didn’t really feel like there were obstacles. I felt like there were obstacles taken down because of the way we were recording.”

Many songs off Plus 44’s album are references to their break-up with Blink 182 vocalist Tom Delonge, who went on to form Angels And Airwaves. Check back next week when we dissect what happened to Blink 182 and look into how Plus 44 formed.
