PLAIN WHITE Ts EXCITED FOR GYM CLASS WITH FALL OUT BOY
Plain White T’s talk about touring with their friends in Gym Class Heroes and Fall Out Boy. |
Plain White T’s are slated to hit the road with Fall Out Boy and Gym Class Heroes, and the tour looks to be the biggest pop/rock tour of the fall. Now that Plain White T’s own the Number One song in the land with “Hey There Delilah,” they can finally get their wish of playing with two of their favorite bands. |
Vocalist Tom Higgenson talked about the tour. |
“We’ve always been hounding… De’mar knows Pete [Wentz] really well, and we actually toured them a little bit right before that last album (From Under Cork Tree) that made them really big. We toured with them right before that, and ever since that happened we’ve always been bugging them, ‘Hey when are you going to take us out again?’ And so I guess now that we’re in more of a position that it’ll be beneficial for them to take us out now they’re taking us out. So, we’re excited. It’s going to be awesome.” |
Drummer De’Mar Hamilton, who keeps close tabs on both bands, and says it’s good to be touring with old friends. |
“We’ve all been friends with them for a while, and with Gym Class [Heroes], but it’s weird because it’s just going to be… It’s kind of crazy that we’re all going on tour together because it’s like all of my friends, all of us hanging out everyday. it’s going to be cool. I don’t know what to expect.” |
Before they hit the road for that tour, the band will play the famed Reading and Leeds festivals as well as finish out their current mall and Amusement park tour, which the band has already deemed a success despite fans not being charged a cent to see them. |
