PITBULL SAYS LIL JON DESERVES TO GET PAID
Cuban rapper Pitbull has been close to Lil’ Jon for some time and he decided to sign with TVT Records because of the king of crunk. Unfortunately TVT Records is no longer one big happy family because Lil’ Jon has declared that he will not record for the label anymore until he is compensated correctly. In particular the producer was upset over royalties for his last two albums which were both certified double platinum. Pitbull recently spoke out in Lil’ Jon’;s defense. he told Allhiphop.com, “TVT has been good, if everything was right, there would be something wrong. And the biggest problem I have with TVT is the way they treat my brother (Lil’) Jon, and I’ve made that clear.” |
Pitbull added, “I think Jon keeps the lights on at TVT, and Ying Yang, them boys comin’ along doin’ they thing, me, I’m doin’ my thing, but nowhere to what Jon has done for TVT. And I feel like fair is fair, credit is due where credit is due. Stop bulls–ting, and let’s take care of who needs to be taken care off. That’s my biggest problem with TVT. As far as myself, you can either have TVT bad dreams or major label nightmares.” |
Pitbull released a remix CD/DVD titled Money Is Still A Major Issue (M.I. STILL A. M. I.) earlier this month, which includes several remixes and two previously unreleased songs. |
