PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: BILL NIGHY’S ACCENT ON DAVY JONES

The two disc collector’s edition DVD of Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man’s Chest has Caribbean bloopers and ‘Making Of’ documentaries.

Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man’s Chest two disc DVD collector’s edition is now available in stores featuring bloopers of the Caribbean from Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley.

Johnny who plays Captain Jack Sparrow says he’s glad there are extra scenes to show the audience.

“There is always going to be some of the footage, some of the scenes, somebody’s blood sweat and tears is going to end up on the cutting room floor. It just happens. It’s part of the deal but the beauty of DVD is you can include all that stuff so it’s never wasted. It never goes away or evaporates. It’s available. You can check it out. I also think it’s nice for the viewer, the audience member to take part in the process; to see what goes into making the film.”

In addition to the swashbuckling adventure you’ll get to see how the actors mastered the blade, how the sea-faring monster The Kraken and his squid faced master Davy Jones played by Bill Nighy was created on the DVD.

“They will see me in my pajamas. I tried to put an injunction on it but I failed. They will see me in my skull cap and my horrible little dots all over my body and my dots all over my face which is the computer side of things of which I had no understanding of whatsoever except that they’ve done a terrific job. It’s almost like a normal job but then you’ve got to remember you’ve got a squid growing out of your chin and one of your legs is a crab leg and you have to walk appropriately. And then you can’t do anything with this arm because it’s a claw.”

Johnny Depp who based Captain Sparrow on Keith Richards has transformed his Sweeney Todd trailer to a Morrocan harem after receiving decorating advice from the Rolling Stone guitarist. Pirates of the Caribbean At Worlds End is due out next year.
