PHARRELL WILLIAMS FLIES SOLO

It should come as no surprise that the Neptunes’ Pharrell Williams is working on a solo album. Williams will release his debut solo album, In My Mind, on November 15th on Interscope Records. The first single from the project is “Can I Have It Like That” featuring Gwen Stefani. In My Mind will also feature guest spots from Jay-Z, Daddy Yankee, Slim Thug, and Vanessa Marquez.

Williams, who sings and raps, has split the project evenly so that the first seven songs are rap songs while the last seven are more R&B-flavored. He handled the bulk of the production on the project with a little help from his Neptunes partner Chad Hugo.

Williams has recorded solo material before including the hit, “Frontin,'” from the 2003 compilation, Neptunes Present…Clones.
