PERRY FARRELL HOOKS UP WITH FERGIE IN SATELLITE PARTY
Perry Farrell gets eco-friendly with his Satellite Party with Fergie, Flea, and others. |
Perry Farrell is set to release his new project, Satellite Party, and he had Fergie, the sexy siren of Black Eyed Peas, come over to the garage to, ahem, back him up. The album will hit stores May 29 in an eco-friendly package. As previously reported the album features the work of Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, Hybrid, Peter Hook, and the late Jim Morrison. |
Farrell talked about hooking up with Fergie, who is also featured prominently on the band’s first single “Wish Upon A Dog Star.” |
“Fergie came in…into the garage comes Fergie, and Fergie laid back tracks on a number of tracks. One of them is this song called ‘[Wish Upon A] Dogstar,” and it also has Peter Hook playing bass on it. It was produced, or co-produced, by this group called Hybrid. They’re this crew out of the U.K., and they’re like break-beat pioneers and giants. We’ve collaborated with them. We brought the rock enthusiasm, they brought the electronics.” |
The Satellite Party’s main core features ex-Extreme guitar virtuoso Nuno Bettencourt, with new musicians Kevin Figueiredo on drums, Etty Lau Farrell on background vocals and Carl Restivo on bass. |
