PAUL STANLEY SET TO KISS FANS AT NEXT ART SHOWING
Former Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley shares his thoughts on being called an anti-semite with Peter Criss in Paul Stanley’s new book Face The Music. |
With the success of Paul Stanley’s original paintings in galleries in Hawaii, it was only a matter of time before Paul took his artwork into galleries to the States as well. In 2007, Paul has featured his paintings in 22 galleries, and next up will be two showcases at The Wentworth Gallery in Charlotte, North Carolina on May 4th and 5th. For many years, the legendary Kiss guitarist spent his limited free time away from music by painting and many of his fans of his guitar playing have taken to his artwork as well and Paul couldn’t be more amazed with his art success. |
We caught up with Paul Stanley during a break from rehearsals of his solo project to discuss his artwork and having another outlet for his creative juices. |
“I’ve been really amazed with how successful my art has been. I probably make more money at my art than most people make in their careers. I’m thankful that people like my art and we’re going into twenty two galleries in the states now and we’ve always been in two galleries here in Hawaii and we’ve done phenomenally well out there.” |
Paul is scheduled to make appearances on both North Carolina Expo dates and Paul also appreciates getting close to his fans at his Art Showcases and he couldn’t be more pleased than to get a chance to say ‘Thank You!’ in person. |
“It’s also a chance to get to meet people in another forum. You know, it’s great to be a member of Kiss, it’s great to be a solo performer and it’s great to be an artist. It’s all good. It’s all part of pressing the flesh and meeting the people who made me what I am. I’m very thankful and any time I get a chance to say ‘Thank You!’ I’m there.” |
Having been an art major and graduate at the prestigious High School of Music and Art in New York, it’s no coincidence that Stanley has seen a tremendous amount of success and has touched people all over the world with both his music and his art. Paul Stanley and his band are gearing up for a run of tour dates in Australia for the month of April. Dates in Australia begin April 11th in The Gold Coast and extend until April 26th in Adelaide. |
