PARAMORE THANKFUL TO BE HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
With a stunning debut on the Billboard Chart at #15, Paramore are happy to be home in Tennessee for the Thanksgiving Holidays with their friends and family. |
With their sophomore album, ‘Riot’ debuting at #15 on the Billboard Chart and the band selling out major markets on their first U.S. Headlining tour, Paramore certainly have a lot to be thankful for this year and they couldn’t be happier to be performing a sold out show in Nashville, Tennessee the night before Thanksgiving. Paramore, who originally hail from Franklin, Tennessee have been enjoying tremendous success on the strength of their first single of ‘Riot’ which was ‘Misery Business.’ After already selling out shows in Dallas, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Buffalo, Austin and New York, the band planned on being close to home for Thanksgiving and they have announced the show in Nashville is sold out as well. |
We caught up with lead vocalist Hayley Williams and guitarist Josh Farro during a break on their recent headlining tour to get their thoughts on being close to home performing for their friends and family. |
“We were able to schedule a show in Nashville, the day before Thanksgiving. That way we could have Thanksgiving at home, so we’re really looking forward to it. It’s in a few days and all our friends and family will be at the show and the next day we get to have a big Turkey dinner and we’re going to all walk away ten pounds heavier.” |
In 2005, Paramore released their debut album ‘All We Know Is Falling,’ capturing major radio air play and a growing fanbase after the release of the singles ‘Pressure’ and ‘Emergency.’ In 2006 readers of the British magazine, Kerrang voted Paramore ‘Best New Band’ and voted Hayley as the 2nd sexiest female vocalist, coming in just behind Amy Lee of Evanescence. The band has U.S. dates booked until November 28th in New York. Paramore will then take Christmas and New Years off before announcing an extensive run of tour dates for what promises to be a very busy 2008. |
