PARAMORE PLATINUM, KICKS OFF FINAL RIOT TOUR
Paramore’s second album, and their Atlantic Records debut, RIOT, has been certified platinum for a million units sold, and the band talks maturity. |
Paramore’s Riot has surpassed the platinum mark, the award given to bands whose album passes the one million sold mark. The band’s success has been spurred on by vocalist Hayley Williams energetic presence and hits “Misery Business,” “crushcrushcrush,” and the current single “That’s What You Get.” |
The band explain that Riot was a significant improvement over their first studio effort, All We Know Is Falling. |
“Riot was definitely, I feel like, more matured as far as writing goes. We toured on All We Know Is Falling for two to three years, and we didn’t… We actually found out what our band wants to sound like. So we established our sound.” |
Paramore will embark on their last tour in support of Riot with their Final Riot tour kicking off today, July 28, with openers Jack’s Mannequin, Phantom Planet, and Paper Route. |
