PAPA ROACH NEW RECORD IDEAS
Hollywood Undead is making waves with a masked rap-rock sound, and they talk about the purpose of their get-up and if there’s room for two with Slipknot. |
Papa Roach had a great run this year with their cross-format smash “Scars,” from their album Getting Away With Murder. The band however has wrapped up its run of dates in support of the album, and have been working on it follow-up. |
Drummer Dave Buckner said that technology is the key to the band getting a new album sooner than they would have in the old days. He said songs can be worked on at home or on the road. |
“It’s all… We’re always, you know, whatever. When a melody pops into your head, and the great thing about these days is you have an endless anount of technology to help you record whatever your idea may be — whether it’s little digital handheld recorders or I got a mini-disc recorder out here. I have my laptop that has a program that if I have and idea I can hash out pretty much a full demo, like just on my desktop, right there with Garageband on the Apple lapotops. If you’ve got an idea for a song you can pretty much make the whole damn song right there. It’s not going to sound pro, but… actually it sounds pretty damn close.” |
Papa Roach will have a DVD to keep fans apetites filled with the release of Live And Murderous in Chicago. The DVD arrives in stores November 22. |
