OZZY IN MIXING STAGE, SETS CD FOR JUNE RELEASE
The Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne is in the final mixing stage of his new album and he discuss the recording process right here. |
The Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, is in the final mixing stage of his upcoming solo album of all new material and the album features Ozzy’s current band, consisting of drummer Mike Bordin, Rob “Blasko” Nicholson on bass and Ozzy’s longtime guitarist Zakk Wylde. Due to Ozzy and Zakk’s extremely busy schedules, studio time together was very rare and it was even reported Zakk had to cancel a few gigs with his band, Black Label Society in order to fulfill his studio obligations in connection with Ozzy’s album. |
We recently caught up with Ozzy at the press conference announcing free Ozzfest to discuss the recording process and working once again with guitarist Zakk Wylde. |
“He’s (Zakk) playing guitar on the album. My band is playing on the album, but when he gets off the road I’m doing something and when he goes back on the road I’m back in the studio. It hasn’t been recorded in a band situation.” |
So is that as of yet untitled album finished? |
“More or less, we’re just ironing out a few things and then we’re going to go mix it.” |
Ozzy, who already has a very busy summer of music booked, will look to have the album released in the first week of June. It was recently announced that Ozzy will be touring Europe in May and June and head back to The US in the summer for Ozzfest. Ozzy’s European tour will begin May 27th in Moscow extending until June 30th in Milan, Italy. So far the only Ozzfest date to be announced is the kick off show, July 7th in San Bernardino, California. |
